The Program Council

The Program Council of Edukacja Polska SA was established by force of Resolution of the Management Board no. 1/2008, adopted on March 4, 2008. The Program Council is an advisory body to the Company?s Management Board. It comprises eminent representatives of the academic community, scientists and practitioners who are in constant contact with the Polish educational system. The Council evaluates and recommends new solutions, products and concepts which build the market offer and action program of Edukacja Polska SA. It participates in the development of information resources, encompassing the broad knowledge of the schools, teachers and parents of students. It prepares social and market analyses, illustrating the actual condition and needs of the Polish education system that Edukacja Polska SA strives to fulfill.

 

Kazimierz DługoszKazimierz Długosz

Chairman of the Program Council. Graduate of the Polish language faculty and of post-graduate studies in philosophy of culture and social policy of the Polish Academy of Science. Journalist and editor-in-chief of the Nowa Wieś magazine, co-author of numerous social, cultural and scientific publication, organizer and creator of important cultural events. University lecturer. Co-founder and Deputy Dean of the Jerzy Giedroyć High School of Communication and Media in Warsaw



 

Marzena Secomska - RozenbaumMarzena Secomska - Rozenbaum

Graduate of the Foreign Trade Faculty of the Main School of Planning and Statistics (currently the Warsaw School of Commerce). In the years 1992-1994, editor of the educational weekly for children, Małe Wiadomości DD. In the years 1999 - 2002 managed a private kindergarten. For 16 years tied to the Social Educational Association (Społeczne Towarzystwo Oświatowe ? STO). President of SKT no. 134 STO, and later of SKT no. 144 STO. Participated in the Community Accreditation Project of the STO Schools, called ?Now for Good Polish School?. She is a board member of the foundation ABC XXI All of Poland Reads to Kids, where she organizes conferences on children?s emotional health and is responsible for contacts with foreign partners.



 

Piotr WęgleńskiPiotr Węgleński

Graduate of the Hugon Kołłątaj Upper Secondary School in Warsaw, and the Biology and Earth Sciences Faculty of the University of Warsaw, biologist and geneticist. Professor of the Institute of Genetics and Biotechnology of the University of Warsaw (earlier the Department of Genetics), deputy director of the Institute of Botany, Vice-Rector, and in the years 1999-2005, Rector of the Warsaw University. Author of numerous studies and publications in the area of genetics.



 

Kazimierz KrzysztofekKazimierz Krzysztofek

Professor of sociology at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology and deputy president of the Pro Cultura Foundation. Member of the Cultural Information and Research Centers Liaison (CIRCLE), expert of the Open Society Institute from Budapest, member of the ?Polska 2000 Plus? Forecasts Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. At the end of the 1980?s carried out post-doctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on media research and international communication. He was visiting lecturer at the
College of Liberal Arts, Pennsylvania State University (1996). He is a member of various associations, including the International Studies Association and International Communication Association. Author of numerous publications on social and intra-cultural communication, sociology of culture and new media, as well as the social development theory.



 

Ireneusz KrzemińskiIreneusz Krzemiński

Sociologist, professor of the University of Warsaw. Since 1972, his professional path has been tied to the Institute of Sociology of the University of Warsaw. In the years 1997-1998, professor at the University of Gdańsk. In the years 2001-2002, professor Krzemiński was the Rector of the Personnel Management School, and next Rector of the Jerzy Giedroyć High School of Communication and Media in Warsaw. He is a board member of the Polish PEN Club and lecturer at the Warmia and Mazury University in Olsztyn. He lectured at the Rochester University (under a scholarship from the Kościuszko Foundation, 2001) and at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (2005). Researcher of the Solidarność movement and trade union. Author of numerous publications on anti-Semitism and social stereotypes, as well as on processes occurring within democratic societies.



 

Krzysztof BochusKrzysztof Bochus

Graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the University of Warsaw. He started his career as a journalist, initially at the Nowa Wieś magazine, and later on at the Burda Polska company. In the years 1998-2000, editor in chief of the Sukces monthly. In the year 2000, he moved to the developer company J.W. Construction, where he held the functions of marketing director, spokesman, public relations director and advisor to the Management Board on media. In the years 2001-2007, lecturer at the Jerzy Giedroyć High School of Communication and Media in Warsaw. Since September 1, 2006 employed at Edukacja Polska SA, currently as the director of the communication and creation team.



 

Witold SzwajkowskiWitold Szwajkowski

Graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology ? Faculty of Mechanics, majoring in aviation. In the years 1983-1991, Mr. Szwajkowski gained hands-on experience and pedagogical license, working as a teacher in secondary school. In the years 1991-1994, he worked at the credit department of the Polish Development Bank and in the company
Polskie Towarzystwo Prywatyzacyjne Kleinwort Benson, appointed by the bank to manager a National Investment Fund. In the years 1995-2004 participated in the establishment and development of the Micro Fund, an institution which provided financial support for the development of small companies, and which was established by the Polish-American Enterprise Fund. Since 1998, he was the President of the Board of Micro Fund. Since 2001, member of the Development Finance Forum ? an international advisory group established by the Ford Foundation. Since 2004, cooperates with Edukacja Polska SA as the designer of teaching aids and educational toys.
