Because of the planned development, the company has launched restructuring and capital processes in 2005. Two transformations have been made (a limited liability company into a general partnership, and then a general partnership into a joint-stock company), seed capital has been increased, the company has granted for EU funds (successfully) and started preparations to go public.
According to the strategy adopted by the Board, the company is to become a holding within the next few years. Its long-term goal will be to consolidate the teaching aids market ? we want to achieve that by taking over companies of a profile complementary to that of E.P. S.A. and by building new segments of services and production.
In particular, our plans include the following:
- developing the basic segment of production ? teaching aids, both traditional ones and those based on modern technologies and original ideas (for pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational, higher and special education);
- taking over companies of a profile complementary to that of EP S.A.;
- searching new sales opportunities, mainly on the domestic retail market, but also abroad;
- effective use of the EU structural and educational funds;
- building the segment of educational toys and making them available in the retail sale chain;
- opening to new directions of activity ? by developing the multimedia sector in the nearest future;
- building author?s know-how, to be done by a special project team;
- widening the business profile with services provided to commercial clients: printing, training courses, certifications, R&D projects;
- launching the network of EP S.A. author?s kindergartens and schools.
